A JOKE-R is not exactly a person so much as a stack of jokes wearing a body. Peel back one layer and there is a punchline; peel back another and there is a skit; peel back all of them and you may find only a faint echo whispering, 'Didn't expect that, huh?' In groups they are the appointed morale officer and designated artillery unit of humor. As long as they are around, the room never quite freezes. The saddest part is that the loudest laugh in the room often belongs to them, because sometimes comedy is just grief with better timing.
